However, given MS' apparent opinion that only their "programs" need to modify anything in "Program Files" once installed, I would no longer recommend that. Prior to Vista and Win7, I would have recommended Suzaral's approach of putting it in "Program Files" by default. How should it operate? Should it continue to provide the options to install to each game and an "Other" path? What should the default non-local install location be? ![]() As such, the installer will need to be updated to reflect these two install types.
